#### Learning Objectives

#### Lesson Outline
1. **Introduction (5 minutes)**
- Welcome students and do a quick recap of the previous lesson on prayer.
- Introduce the topic: "Today we will be learning more about prayer and its different forms."
2. **Bible Story and Discussion (10 minutes)**
- Read Matthew 6:9-13 from a Children's Bible focusing on "The Lord's Prayer."
- Discuss briefly what Jesus was teaching about prayer in this passage.
- Ask students: "What do you think is important about this prayer Jesus taught?"
3. **Types of Prayer (10 minutes)**
- Introduce the four types of prayer: thanksgiving, confession, petition, intercession.
- Use flashcards to visualize each type and provide simple definitions.
- **Thanksgiving:** Saying thank you to God.
- **Confession:** Telling God you are sorry for something you've done wrong.
- **Petition:** Asking God for something for yourself.
- **Intercession:** Asking God for something for someone else.
4. **Interactive Activity (10 minutes)**
- Hand out A4 papers and crayons.
- Ask students to draw a picture that represents one type of prayer.
- Encourage them to share their drawings and explain their pictures.
5. **Group Exercise (5 minutes)**
- Divide students into small groups.
- Give each group a scenario (e.g., someone is sick, someone got a new toy, someone said something mean).
- Ask the groups to decide which type of prayer fits the scenario and to create a simple prayer together.
6. **Prayer Circle (3 minutes)**
- Form a circle with the students.
- Invite a few volunteers to share their prayers from the group exercise.
- Close with a communal recitation of "The Lord's Prayer."
7. **Closing (2 minutes)**
- Summarize what was learned.
- Encourage students to practice different types of prayer at home with their families.
- Announce the topic for the next lesson.
#### Homework
- Ask students to write a short prayer incorporating any of the four types they learned and bring it to class next time.
